In keeping with the ethos of using exclusively natural flavors, spices, and herbs for our blends, natural vanilla extract is used here. Being derived directly from vanilla beans, it is most true to the flavor of vanilla. An organic Assam black tea - with its malty, full flavor - is used for a base tea. This is a blend that is great on its own or with milk (or soy, etc.) and sweetener, if desired. Incidentally, only one vanilla bean is produced by each hand-pollinated vanilla orchid!
