UPCOMING CLASSES:

Please join me (Laurie) in my first virtual and live Knit-along starting October 26 at 7:00 p.m. PST via Zoom and in the shop. There is no fee for the class, I will provide the pattern for $3.50 (my cost, you will receive an email and a printed copy), and I do require that you purchase the yarn in the shop. If you purchase online the shop will absorb for the shipping cost.

The project is a beautiful eternity scarf was designed by Sweater Babe (also known as Katherine) using Dream in Color Classy or Cascade 220 Superwash, but could be knit with any medium weight worsted or DK yarn that you want to wear close to your skin. Apples to Oranges has just restocked many of our favorite yarns to give you a great variety.

There is no cost for the class, you can purchase the pattern from the shop at my cost, which is $3.50, and receive an email copy and also a printed copy which we will mail to you with your yarn. We will absorb the shipping cost for the yarn, the pattern and any notions that you may need.

All of our yarns can be found online at ApplesToOranges.net. I would recommend any of the following beautiful yarns: Dream in Color Classy with Cashmere; “Cascade Hearthstone, Elysian or 220 Superwash; Malabrigo Arroyo, Susurro, or Dos Tierras; Queensland Sunshine Coast or Perth; Alexandra’s Art of Yarn Black Butte or Silverton.

If you want to economize, Cascade Elysian is 60% wool, 40% acrylic; Malabrigo , Dream in Color Jilly, and Queensland are less expensive than anything with cashmere . Too much information? Impossible!

A highly patterned yarn will not show the pattern as clearly as a monochromatic yarn.

About me (Laurie): I consider myself an intermediate knitter, meaning I can read directions, I have knit several sweaters and socks, but I am not as fast or as proficient as many of my friends and customers! which is why I prefer a knit-along as opposed to a class: I’m sure many of you could teach me a lot! I hope you will support me in this first endeavor to host a group. For the beginners among you, this will be a great way to help you improve your skills and learn from others.
